Interview!!

Dear Friends

We thought that you might be interested to read the Mogador interview posted recently on the Progarchives website.

Work on the third CD is well under way; we are finishing the writing of a set of songs inspired by some paintings and poetry that we find inspiring.  As usual, I am having to re-programme by brain to be able to play in some challenging time signatures.  For those who may not be too familiar with what that means, very simply it means rhythms that you might not be able to dance to that easily...  Anyway, we hope that all is well with you, the people who have said nice things about our music and/or actually bought it.

We give you all a heartfelt thank you and send best wishes

New Album

Hi there "Blogadors" ! :-)
Work on the new album has begun and last night we went to sleep at 3 in the deep of night after a long session writing down new songs on the pentagram (how dare we pompous proggers) !
All we can say so far is that we are all pretty much thrilled about the new project which is developing nicely; once again, in pure Mogador fashion, it is going to be rather different from the previous album (as was the second one from our eponymous CD actually) but all the elements that make up our "sound" are still there ( a taste for melody, complex instrumental sections, two singers with different tones..) once more rearranged into a different “musical concept” , not forgetting our philosophy which we believe is the genuine “progressive attitude”, that is to write and produce music drawing from different styles and getting advantage of all the palettes that diverse music instruments can provide regardless the genres of music they might be strictly associated with; this said, we are also introducing some “new elements” to our music which are also instrumental to the kind of album we are about to record. Indeed though this time we won’t have a narrative, the album will have a “concept” in its own..which is perhaps too early to reveal, though we must admit the idea stems directly from a song of our repertoire. Most likely and hopefully, it will be an album filled with drama and romanticism but it will feature some lighter stuff as well since life is made of light & darkness as we know !
So much for now, stay tuned for news and...be happy...wherever you are !
